Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District Implememts new devices with the help of Diamond Assets

Technology decisions can often lead to a mad dash to the finish line, and this was no exception for the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District when a need arose for a new iPad fleet. With staffing shortages and shipping delays, the district found itself in a position where help was not only necessary but appreciated.

That is when Cat Ellingson, Technology Director of Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District, reached out to Diamond Assets for help finding a solution. Despite the last-minute decision to purchase new iPads, Diamond Assets provided provisioning, labeling, casing, and organizational services that allowed school staff to concentrate on regular school year preparations, ensuring the success of the iPad fleet rollover.

During a typical rollover year, Ellingson said staff can be overwhelmed with tasks such as preparing new devices, prepping old iPads for resale, and organizing the devices. Diamond Assets took over many of these responsibilities, allowing Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau to save on labor costs and allocate time and staffing where the district needed them most.

Ellingson said comparing the process with Diamond Assets to in-house approaches has revealed significant improvements that simplified internal processes. Previously, the district had to start planning almost a year in advance, considering storage, staffing, and ancillary needs. However, with Diamond Assets, the process was streamlined. Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau purchased the iPads, shipped them to Diamond Assets, which took care of all the preparation work. The district’s only task was to get the iPads into the hands of students.

“One of the keys to our success was great communication and collaboration with the Diamond Assets team. They were incredibly responsive and flexible with our needs.”

Diamond Assets’ responsiveness and flexibility ensured a smooth process, contributing to the overall success of the iPad fleet rollover, Ellingson said.

Addressing cost-effectiveness, Ellingson firmly believes the return from Diamond Assets’ services offset any cost to the school district. The time and effort saved was monumental, allowing the district to focus on crucial matters and achieve more in less time. The undeniable value brought by Diamond Assets streamlined processes and improved efficiency which resulted in better outcomes for students.
